Admittedly, I'm a bit of an introvert, but I don't view it as a negative. I like to be social sometimes, but I also treasure my alone time and have a few solitary interests. I'm a Christian and my relationship to God is important to me, but I'm no fanatical Bible-thumper. (My gay and agnostic friends are a testament to the diversity of people I welcome into my life. ) I'm not quite sure what would constitute my concept of an "ideal" mate, but I'm definitely a "friends first" kind of person - it lets you see the whole person without a lot of pressure for perfection. If something more develops from there, great. If not, well, I believe that platonic friendship is valuable in its own right.
