People who know me say I am easy going and mild-mannered. I'm also very active, between my job as an interior carpenter and my leisure-time activities. I love to "extreme dayhike" (20 plus miles) , backpack and boulder and bush-whack (as long as It's the mountains, I love it) , trail run, workout, and train in martial arts (my newest adventure) . In my downtime, I do my first passion, reading and teaching the Bible, which I have been heavily involved in for the past 13 years. I also like to hang out with family and friends, listen to music (I collect old Jazz, Classical, Rock, and Blues vinyl albums--best sound ever) , play guitar (I pick a mean Blues) , read books (currently a biography of Patton, Elmore Leonard short stories, and a Tom Clancy novel) , build my own woodworking projects, and cook (hippy whole foods!) . I have a BA in English, minor in Music, and all but a few credits towards a Master's of Education. However, I work as a carpenter, installing custom cabinets. They say if you do what you love to do, you'll never work a day in your life. . . and I love building kitchens. Family is very important to me, and though I have no children, they are at the top of my life goals. I have wonderful parents who raised me to have great respect for women and to always treat women with respect and kindness.
