While I was sitting here contemplating what to to write for a revised profile, a distant memory came back to me. And for a moment I was standing on the port side deck of a fairy boat traveling through the Wasp Pass off Crane Island, absorbing all that my senses would allow me to take in. It was my first experience of tranquility; a moment in time when the world was on hold finding myself in the presence of the One who gives peace. Neither here, nor there, looking back and looking forward, knowing where I've been, not knowing where I would go. But knowing that my life was in the caring hands of another who would guide me through my life. I was twelve then; in the thirty years that would pass I would discover who it is that can hold time at bay and speak peace into my heart. This is a snapshot of the life that God has blessed me with. . . but what is your story? What hills have you climbed? What summit do you hope to reach? How has the Holy Spirit weaved himself throughout your life? What story would you tell to the person walking next to you on the path through the forest, or along a beach at the ocean's edge? Would it be a story of the silly things in life that make you laugh? Or that cherished moment when you knew that God had entered your life? What is your story?
