If it were in God's will for me to meet a perspective friend/partner in Christ on this site, I would hope that special lady will be genuine, intuitive, intelligent, caring, and forgiving. More specifically, I would expect the fruit of the Spirit tobe present in her in accordance with Galatians 5:22-23. With the greatest of these being LOVE (1 Cor 13:13 NIV) . However, if there is not much fruit bearing at the time of our meeting, don't fret. . . My Father is the gardener (John 15:2 NIV) & (Phil 1:6 NIV) . More specifically, I do not expect anyone I meet to be perfect or to have no faults; what purpose would the washing of God's Word have then (Eph 5:26 NIV) ? Thus, we are to strive towards the goal of perfection (Mat 5:48 NIV) . Therefore, let us do this together. My perspective friend/partner in Christ should likewise desire all the above noted expectations of me. Not expecting me to be perfect but allowing for God's Grace and Work to manifest itself in and through me, in God's timing. Hopefully we would grow together and I would trust that any perspective mate would desire to be loved in the same manner that Christ loves the church, in that He gave Himself up for her (Eph 5:25) . Also, since our experiences in life may differ, we would trust in God to provide us with an understanding of how our experiences are unique for His purpose within the body. Subsequently, I would hope that this would give us a healthy respect for each others position in Christ. Through combined experiences, let us bring glory to Him. And, in conclusion, if we decide to walk together (Amos 3:3 NIV) , Christ must be central to our relationship and journey. He is the glue that will hold it together "Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate. " (Mat 19:6 NIV)
