As a history teacher, each day I strive to achieve excellence in my relationships with my students. I enjoy my students and think that it is not only what I say, but how I present myself that speaks volumes. Every day I dress professionally and encourage my students to respect themselves, in all areas of their lives. While in my classroom, I am serious and maintain a safe, comfortable environment in which students feel free to voice their opinions and have fun class discussions. I like to dress up when attending plays, concerts or going out for a nice dinner. At home and around town, I enjoy being casual and wear mostly blue jeans and light sweaters. I enjoy talking and getting to know people. Even though I might sound gregarious, there is a quiet and reflective side to me also.
