I am totally committed to having Mark 12:29-31 and I Corin 13 be apart of my life and my relationship with the wonderful woman God WILL bring into my life. This is not just a dream. It certainly is not a fantasy. It is a passionate commitment. I would appreciate the opportunity to find out if that one might be you. Could we exchange a couple of notes to see if there might be an initial connection. I would also appreciate corresponding even if you are not interested in a long term marital relationship. I have been a Christian Leader all my life. In the past, I helped put on the Governors Prayer Breakfast in Oregon for five years in a row, plus numerous mayor's breakfasts. I organized a prayer breakfast in Seattle, WA where 225 student body leaders from 25 high schools attended. The Chaplin of the United States Senate was the main speaker. Please do not let these lofty activites make you think I wouldn't be interested in a woman who has the precious dream to be a helpmate and home maker. I have always cherrished the atmosphere of a home. Just to know we are beside each other fills my heart's cup and answers my prayers. Wow! What more could a man ask for. That would be close to Heaven on Earth. I am comfortable in very formal settings. I love informal settings. I love being serious and I love being fun and playful, even silly.
I wrote this profile to let some dear woman out there know how I am praying for the one God will bring into my life. I am praying that she will not let go of the dreams that God gave her of life and of finding a man who wants to be best friends, partners and teammates in all that they do. A man who wants to share wholesome relationships, friendships, and companionship together with others in the community, BUT ESPECIALLY with each other. I am praying for a woman who is earnestly looking for a man to eventually marry who will seek forgiveness when he fails, who will passionately work to give up his rights and seek to continually change until the day he dies with a smile on his face. In the process, I praying for a woman of like heart. A woman who is kind and who will graciously extend that kindness and her forgiveness not only to me, but to our neighbors, church friends, and to those who do not deserve it in our community. A woman who seeks to unconditionally love. In addition, I am praying for a woman who wants companionship while remodeling, traveling, while in the garden, in the car, at speaking engagements, with family, with neighbors, in the kitchen, at the dinner table, on the couch holding hands watching a video, and in bed having both serious and playful times, BUT only in the context of intimate communion, companionship, and respect. I want to always be with her, touching, kissing, talking, laughing, crying, praying, listening, sharing, working, resting, traveling, eating out, eating in and for all of this togetherness to take place WITHOUT smothering each other.
I was faithful to my wife for twenty-seven years. I avoided muscle and manipulation and sought to be both strong and gentle. I believe in promoting a safe place that is full of okays and peace. I believe love, respect, and close companionship are essential. My love language is quality time, my temperament is Choleric, and my spiritual gift is that of an encourager. I've started three businesses, was a pastor for twenty years, on the board of directors of numerous organizations. I am a private pilot, have earned a life guard certificate, four year college degree, am debt free, and in good health. I work out regularly. I have traveled throughout the world, spent a week on the Snake river in Idaho going through number 3 and 4 rapids as well as two weeks on the Mediterranean Sea traveling from Egypt to Greece and Italy. I have helped build my own home and have remodeled two others.
I feel uncomfortable saying all of this about myself, because I do not believe that preferences, skills, ability, education, intelligence guarantee good relationships. A right heart of humility and love is essential. I sure hope you find the right one if I am not him.
Heavenly Father, if I am not the right one, then please bring the right man into the life of the dear woman who is reading this. Protect her from any and all who would take advantage of her, lead her on or deceive her. You know who that special one is. I pray that you would orchestrate events in their two lives whereby they end up meeting one another and knowing this divine encounter is of You. I ask this not just for their happiness, but that you might ultimately be glorified in the process. Thank you Lord for answer this prayer. Amen.
