I am a single Dad who has been single since 1991. I have two children in college, one of whom lives at home right now. I work as a Federal contractor in computer security. Following family tradition, I served in the military, achieving the rank of Captain of Marines. I went to good schools and worked hard. I have degrees in both science and the liberal arts.
I am an Orthodox convert, previously having been Anglican. I attend Liturgy, Vespers, and Bible study weekly, and pray daily. I have a deep and abiding faith in the Trinity. I read scripture and other spiritual books all the time. I have been riding motorcycles since before I had a drivers license, so it was only natural that my ministry would be to bikers. As such, I ride with a club whose mission is focused on the outlaw biker world, though we also spend time in youth ministry. I was raised in a family of musicians so music is in me, especially sacred church music of Bach, Mozart, Handel, and Racmaninoff. I also love the blues, rock, and jazz. I sing and play the bass guitar. I enjoy lots of kinds of activities, both outdoors and in. I enjoy horseback riding, rollerblading, and bicycling. I like cooking in and dining out, concerts, etc. I live modestly, though when I splurge I do it big-time!I value faith, fidelity, compassion, warmth, affection, passion, gentleness, courage, femininity, and honorable behavior. I am very compassionate, romantic, and sentimental. I would like to marry again one day. My partner would be one who regards marriage not only as intended for our mutual joy, but also as a sacrament of Christ's church. But first and foremost, she would be my most trusted friend. If you are the kind of woman that my children would look up to, that my Priest would marry me to, that my Mom would befriend, and that my friends would stand in awe of, I want to meet you.
