I'm an honest, stand-up kind of guy that doesn't like to play games (at least not when it comes to relationships) . I'm not into the bar scene (even though I'm an aspiring bartender, go figure) , and I tend to have a hard time meeting new people my age because I work with people quite a bit older than me. Recently separated, so I'm not looking to jump into anything serious too quickly (and I'm also not interested in finding someone to fool around with) , but if sparks fly. . .
I'm not sure why, but most of my life my best friends have been girls (now women) , so I don't know if that means I have a better time relating to the fairer sex, or just a harder time relating to other guys. It's a question for the ages, I suppose. My life's a bit of a contradiction. I've grown up being the suburban geek, but I also like the country life. I work in an office, but I love getting out onto the field during seeding and harvest. I'm not a big camper, but recently have gotten into bowhunting. I like to stay in shape and keep fit so I am pretty active.
What I'm eventually looking for is the "girl next door" type. Someone who's got a good head on her shoulders, kind, caring, and compasionate, with a good sense of humour, and a direction in her life that she's actively pursuing. I'd like to find someone who I can talk with for hours about their life's ambitions, share in some of them, and have her share in some of mine.
