I am a medical scientist and humanist who retired recently after getting my divorce. Fathered 4 all of whom were achievers and became accomplished musicians. I earned my MD at Yale, and then became a nephrologist. However, I was not sufficiently challenged and decided to go to England where I spent 4 years at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. And returned to assume a professorship at UW in Madison. I remain biologically young, and young at heart, occupied with writing and editing books. My passions lie in good books, classical music, choral music and Italian opera. I also love to travel. My credo is based upon compassion and reverence for all living species.
