Hello! I am a 46-year old Christian woman. I have never been married, and my life is very full and blessed as a single woman, but I am praying for the Lord to guide and direct me as I take steps (i. e. joining a Christian Singles Web Site!) toward anew season in my life. I pursue growth in my Christian walk on a daily basis (this is not always easy!!) and would be looking for the same in any potential new friend/partner. I belong to an Assemblies of God church and am very active in several ministries - including helping out with our camera and video ministry, writing a weekly on-line Bible Study tool for the church web-site and assisting in writing the script for our VBS - which I enjoy very much. I am also involved in a Women's Small Group Bible Study/Accountability Group. I am very close to my family and friends. I love to travel (have been all over the US and Europe), read and write (I LOVE books!), history, musuems, walking, hiking, taking drives, going on day trips, going to the gym (ok, maybe going to the gym is not necessarily my favorite thing to do - haha, but I do teach an Acquacise class and I really enjoy that), going to the beach, cooking and baking, entertaining, movies, music, etc. I am a fun-loving person with a good sense of humor (including not being above laughing at myself!)who tends to want to find the positive in any situation. I enjoy good conversation and am a good listener - I am not afraid of tackling the "deeper" and "harder" stuff. A dream of mine is to eventually write (and have published!!) children's books. I am not a real big sports fan, but really enjoy ice hockey games - go figure!! I am most passionate about my salvation and faith - continuing to mature in my walk with the Lord, learning from my mistakes (I really try to look at them as an opportunity for growth)and being a life-long learner. I wish to honor the Lord in how I live my life, perform at my job, share Him with others, and serve him in greater ways. What would I be looking for in a husband? Could I say, a "Proverbs 31 Man. " By that I mean a man who is committed to his faith and his spiritual growth and Walk with the Lord; and, as such, will enable me to blossom as a Christian woman, wife (and prayfully, mother); someone with whom I can share fun, interests, romance and passion with for the rest of our lives; someone with a sense of humor who can see the positive in life. Someone for whom I can truly be a "helpmate. " As far as Proverbs 31 for me, my prayer is that my husband can say, from verses 11 and 12 - "Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. " I look forward to making some new friends, here, and perhaps (prayfully!) - that one very special friend, who would be called my husband!!The "213" in my user name refers to Philippians 2:13 (from later part of 12) - "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. " A close pastor friend once told me "getting saved is the easy part - growing, maturing, seeking the Lord's guidance and will throughout the rest of your life is a bit harder - but so very much worth it!"
