Hi. . My name is Joe and I'm looking to meet a compatible woman with an eventual goal toward marriage and family. I consider myself to be well-balanced with a good foundation for a long-term relationship, and have been privileged to share in several life-long friendships since my youth. My best friend, Carl, has described me as loyal with a rather interesting sense of humor and a touch of spontaneity?he's most definitely referring to my rather dry wit and penchant for adventure on occasion. Dedication, loyalty, and trust are very important to me, along with plenty of Irish fun! So. . . here's 10 interesting facts about me: 1. I'd rather sleep in than get up early on a weekend; 2. I love to wear birkenstocks or boots; 3. For me, rain is very soothing and I often enjoy running in it; 4. Slowly, I'm trying to learn Gaelic and French; 5. I open doors for women; 6. I will be entering the police academy in 2007. 7. I have a penchant for practical jokes; 8. My blue cheese salad dressing recipe is not for sale; 9. I take my hat off in buildings, especially in church! 10. Kentucky is more than a state, it's a state of mind! My female friends have told me that I have good communication skills?"for a guy". In that regard, I never really understood why some guys would rather watch sports on TV instead of spending time with the woman that they supposedly love. Nothing against sports (I'm on an adult soccer league) , but vacationing with one's spouse, kids, and the family dog can be an athletic event in itself! On that note, sharing a strong spiritual connection with a future partner is important for me since life is uncertain and requires a daily walk with God. How does this relate to you?. . . well. . I'm the kind of guy that your folks would be proud of. . . because of how I was raised. I believe a true man has inner strength, faith in God, is a patriot, and has a deep love for his family~ ready to defend them if need be. And. . to my future wife. . . however you may be. . . . expect that I will ask your parent's permission for your hand, as it's the right thing to do. My parents have been married for over fifty years and they serve as a shining example for me of unselfish love and dedication. Mom and Dad have often said that marriage requires daily work and a lot of patience, compassion, and room for flexibility as life sure brings changes! If you have read my profile this far, I appreciate your interest, and feel free to respond. Lastly, I'm convinced that there is someone for everyone. Life is indeed a gift, and so is getting to know one another, and on that final note?if my future partner is reading this profile, I'll say this: thanks for waiting for me?. and I'll leave my muddy soccer cleats outside! :) What sort of person am I looking for?. . . . . . . . . . . You are a strong woman of God, that is constantly seeking to know the Lord in every aspect of your life. You are far from perfect, and recognize that the Lord takes delight in his people, particularly as we seek to know Him and improve in our lives on earth. You are an honest person that values sincere communication and understanding. Patience, Kindness, and Peace are hallmarks that you strive to work toward, and you view me as your marital partner for life as I do with you. You are a conflict-resolver and not a problem-promoter, and you find peace even in the simple acts of life. Prayer is an important part of your life, and virtue is vital in your own daily life. Although I do not know you yet as a spouse, you are in my prayers. . . that Christ may lead you in times of difficulty, and prepare you for the vocation of marriage as I know that He is doing the same with me. . . . God Bless you!
