What do you get when you mix a pensive intellectual with a zany and playful childcare provider?
You get ME!
I'm a writer / wanna-be novelist, currently working as a nanny. Alas, unlike my counter-part Mary Poppins, I cannot fly . . . That's what dancing is for.
I'm addicted to Lindy Hop (and blues dancing? yum!) Lindy-Hop is a swing dance - do a search on YouTube to see what you've been missing). It's THE dance of all dances - and an earthly experienced to not be missed. (I really wish more Christians would dance ? doesn't WWJD stands for "Where Would Jesus Dance"? ;)
Besides dancing, my passions include pro-life ministry (ie helping single moms through an unplanned pregnancy and throughout their child's early years), as I have a huge burden for the unborn and their moms. I'm a trained doula (birth assistant).
I also enjoy singing, song-writing, playing guitar, healthy living, healthy eating, museums, photography, dancing in the rain, and playing in mud puddles.
Above all I am first and foremost a Christian seeking to go deeper. I have attended, questioned, and learned from many different denominations (from Brethren, to Reformed theology to hanging out with those spirit-filled folks - though I've only spoken in tongues when I mumble in my sleep)
My paid time expires on June 7th, 2007. And while I may renew one day, I can't really afford to do so at the moment. If you're a swing dancer and are part of the Yehoodi message board community, you can find me there in the meantime. (Kristine_swings) ? or come to the Ottawa swing dance exchange this (CDEX) this summer and search me out among the masses.
I'm always up for some good conversation so do say hi.
