I love to laugh, be happy, have fun and find the positives in difficult situations. I also can be serious where it is appropriate. In certain situations I can be shy at first, especially in groups, but can warm up quickly. My family, friends andstaff say that I am a warm, caring individual. I am a nurturer, affectionate, very even tempered, and believe in open communication. I don't play head games and I value honesty and integrity.
I am very much a cat lover and enjoy having them in my home. My two kitties are Sunshine and Maggie who have been with me for 7 years. They are totally indoor kitties and have excellent house manners. I have one adult daughter, the joy and blessing of my life, who is pursuing a career as a veterinarian. My hobbies include playing the piano, organ, harp, singing, and making jewelry and other crafts. From time to time since age 13, I have also taught piano and organ, although I am not currently teaching.
I love to walk on the ocean beach, or to spend time on the water in a boat. I grew up going deep sea fishing every summer, and my best true fish story is catching a 36 pound halibut when I was 10 years old. I enjoy dining out, going to a movie or just spending a quiet evening at home together. I love to travel, and the highlight of all my travels was a trip to Israel in 2000. What a wonderful way to bring the Bible stories to life. It made me feel much closer to God being able to touch some of the places He had been, and to stand in the Garden of Gethsemane where He struggled with what lay ahead for Him in paying the ultimate price for my salvation.
