It is Blessed to Be a Blessing. . . . so we give our Blessings to others. . . . it is pleasing to our Lord. Dr. Scott Peck once said somthing like this, "Evil is refusal to be displeasing to yourself". How true. One lives a lie in thinking one is above reproach. In other words, when you point your finger at someone else for their miscalculations and deeds you miss the other four fingers that are pointing back at yourself.
