Hi, I'm hoping to meet and marry a romantic Christian, who shares some of my interests. Must be able to laugh at himself and not be allergic to my fantastic house rabbit. I would prefer you not to live too far away from Nottingham. I was born in Scotland of Polish army parents and educated at grammar school. I studied German/French at Edinburgh University, then did teacher training certificate. I gathered lots of other qualifications later on, e. g. computer programming, librarianship and dyslexia specialism. I now work with dyslexic students, and write Polish grammar books for Routledge Publishers. My interests are gardening, singing in a folkclub, volunteer work in the local nature reserve, a bit of walking, piano lessons, meals with friends, cinema. I'm quite artistic and could probably be a very poor second to Picasso if I just had more time. I have a very active brain which absorbs all sorts of information very easily, so I would never be bored. My weakness is watching the 'Weakest Link' - I think Anne Robinson is just terrific! How sad is that?I'm passionate about animals and support several animal charities. However, I also send Christmas boxes to children in war zones, and support the struggle against disease and poverty in the third world. I grew up having very little, so I'm not bothered about big houses or cars or new technology. I thinks we should share what we have with others. There is so much wealth in the world, so why are people still dying of hunger? My second passion is languages - they just come easy to me and I'm on my sixth now. I guess I love the logic of grammar - words just fit into categories and I like that because I feel I know what I'm doing. Finally, I love gardens, flowers, trees, rivers, mountains etc. , especially in Spring and Autumn. I also love rain and wind (we got lots of both in Scotland. I always marvel at God's creativity. Do please contact me if you think you and I could be soulmates. Can't promise you the moon, but all else is negotiable.
