God converted me by His grace at age 18 and since then my Christian walk has been one of continued growth in grace. I'm not perfect but can say with David, "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon arock, and established my goings" (Psalm 40:2). It is truly wonderful to know that my salvation is dependent solely on what Christ has done and not on anything I have done or felt. This constrains me to love and to follow Him. "For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead" (2 Corinthians 5:14). I am most passionate about the things of the Lord including but not limited to the Scriptures, Jesus Christ, and evangelism. Also, I am conservative, attend a good Reformed Baptist church (Calvinist), have traditional values, value modesty in dress, believe in courtship instead of unsupervised dating, love children and want to have some of my own and to homeschool them, believe in traditional gender roles including that men are to be the heads of their homes and that every husband should love his wife even ". . . as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it" (Ephesians 5:25b), and that I enjoy the old hymns :).
The kind of person I'd like to meet is someone who knows the Lord, is a godly individual, and someone who is edifying to be around. This really should be number one for believers as it is written, "He that walketh with wise men shallbe wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed" (Proverbs 13:20). I enjoy meeting all people who bear the image of Jesus Christ in their lives to some degree. :) Here is a quote for you to enjoy: :) "Jesus is still as gentle, as kind, as tender as when He. . . wept at the grave of Lazarus, gave eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame, or granted mercy to a wretch hanging by His side. In Him dwell all excellencies! He is full of grace and truth! He takes poor, vile, ignorant, guilty, helpless sinners--raises them to sonship with God, and makes them partakers of His holiness! There is none like Him--no, not one! He is the chief among ten thousand! Wherever He is, there is heaven! There is none like Jesus!" -William S. Plumer, "Sinners Saved by Unmerited Kindness"
