I was born on Vancouver Island and had my very first cruise 1 hr. later. I was rushed to Vanc. Childrens Hosp. for surgery. I was born with Spina Bifida/Hydrocephalus. But God knew what He was doing. I was born into a family of nothing but nurses and doctors!!! (with a few exceptions of course) Now at the age of 32, I have had alot of experience with being teased, looked at, harrassed in the work force. . . you name I've gone through it. My saving grace is the fact that I have God on my side and He has given me a great sense of humor. For example, I fall ALOT. I can't stand it when people rush to my side - they mean well I know - but I just pick myself up, brush my self off and explain to the people around me that I didn't fall; I simply had a conference call with the pavement. I am very musical; play the harp, piano, keyboards (at church) . I've also had the opportunity to have a little business on the side playing my harp for functions; as well as teaching the harp - WOW - what an experience. I forgot just how difficult the harp really is to learn. I've been playing since I was 7. I have one brother; lives in London Ont. with his wife. They also are in the education field; he is a Prof. at UWO and my sister-in-law teaches science and math in a highschool.
