I am a retired Army Officer (Chaplain) with twenty years of active duty. I always wanted to retire in western NC, and have been here over two years. My Christian wife died of cancer, I now spend my time as a prison chaplain and visiting my children in SC. I am an evangelical clergy having become a Christian at age nineteen. Before my Army career, my family and I served an Evangelical Mission Board in the mountains of Peru. I taught Bible, Theology and took my students out to the, "campo" to help build churches. Political unrest postponed our return, so I joined the Chaplaincy. I have a comfortable home where I can see the top of Mt. Mitchel and I enjoy improving it and the large land around it. I hope to travel, but would like a sincere Christian wife to be a companion. I am Conservative in Faith, and very committed to Truth and helping the poor. I am in almost perfect health, and exercise regularly. I have premature gray hair, and am considered not too ugly. I believe friendship is the foundation for all important relationship, and takes thought and much effort to protect in the marriage and family. Christ is the Center of my life and is also in the lives of my closest friends.
