Hi there, I am a citizen of South Africa with British ancestors. I am currently pastoring a church in Mombasa, Kenya. Our congregation is European, Indian and African. I am fully committed to starting new churches and reaching people for Christ. As a result I like to mix with unbelievers in bars and other public places. . . I am not your stereo-type pastor. I enjoy discussing Christ with honest sceptics and people of other religions. In order to stay fit I like to go for an early morning run. For fun I like to snorkel around the coral reef or go camping in one of the many Kenyan game parks. I read a lot. I devour books on apologetics, especially those dealing with science and other religions. I also enjoy the cinema and a simple chat over coffee. My favourite place to eat out is on an Arab Dhow (a large boat) that sails the creek here at night. Its extremely romantic. Mombasa is tropical with white beaches and palm trees. It is half Muslim and half Christian. It has a quaint Arab town centre with tiny shops and great bargains. It also has a 16th century fort which is on an island just across the sea outside my window. Once the church in Mombasa is fully established I plan to start another one in another country. It all depends on the Lord's leading. I am hoping to find someone who is compassionate, down-to-earth, and who puts a priority on things that are eternal. Christ's call to 'go' is a great adventure.
