With that comes respect, tenderness, compassion, being supportive and understanding. Unlike "old fashion" thinking though, I believe that a partner is an equal and not a servant. I'm very contemporary in my views of the roles for men and women. I'm not afraid to push the vacuum around, wash dishes or do laundry (I even separate the colors from the whites . do I get bonus points for that?) . I also have a great sense of humor. I enjoy life and I think that a good sense of humor helps get through the rough spots. I'm an independent thinker which means that I don't rely on someone else to make decisions for me nor always agree with someone else's opinion. I do, however, appreciate and respect the fact that someone else doesn't have to agree with my way of thinking in order for me to understand their position. By the same token, I don't always push to have things my way, a partnership is also about consideration too. I enjoy many things, live music, festivals, camping, comedy shows, sporting events, fine dining, movies, fishing, hiking, sitting in front of a warm fire on a cold or wet day just to name a few, but I enjoy them all the more with someone special.
