(I am happily married, August 2006!) Hello brothers and sisters in Christ. I got married on July 02 2005 to the most wonderful Christian lady I met on singlec. com. We are committed to each other!!! This is not just a testimony of singlec. com but more importantly the power of prayer, reading the bible and then doing what is the Lords will. In life filter all things through the bible. (Profile, now not active, I am not looking anymore!!!)My walk with Christ and then my family are the most important things in my life. Part of Joshua 24: 15, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. 1 Timothy 3:1-16. Matthew 7: 15-23, Mark 16: 15-18, I Corinthians 13: 1-13, John 3:3. I am looking for somebody that is serious about her walk with God and honest. She does not have to be the most spiritually mature person; nobody is, just serious about her walk with Christ. I have discovered kiteboarding! WOW! And the Columbia River is 150' out my front door. Did I say WOW!? On the lighter sideAdam: God why did you make Eve's hair so beautiful?God: So you would love her. Adam: God why did you make Eve's eyes so beautiful?God: So you would love her. Adam: God why did you make Eve's face so beautiful?God: So you would love her. Adam: God why did make Eve physically attractive to me?God: So you would love her. Adam: God you made Eve so attractive to me so why did you make her not so smart. God: Why Adam that is so she would love you!I believe in family values and children having a structured upbringing but I also believe in having a great deal of fun and laughing. What I enjoy most about Christmas are the children. As always the parents want the children to be well behaved. I walk in the room and do something like sit down on the floor with the kids. They see the presents I have for them and smile with anticipation. I smile back without a word and then I get jumped! What joy and not just for the kids. I have no children and God willing I would love to have some with a godly soul mate that is in the same situation so we can share the experience of having children together for the first time. I have waited this long so time is not the most important factor, true love and commitment are. I enjoy a balanced life. I believe you must have certain aspects planed out but still be able to sleep in on Saturday and then with spontaneity go to the beach, a picnic lunch or just about anything. I also believe in turning the other cheek and avoiding conflict if possible but a man must be competent and willing to defend his family and even a stranger whether it is with prayer, words or physical actions. I enjoy going to the gym exercising and also working on my cardiovascular health, (all natural). I exercise by myself although it would be more fulfilling to workout with somebody, but not necessary. I run five to six times a week. I am somewhere between toned and muscular. I think I need to loose about twenty pounds of excess weight. A good friend that claims to know more about this believes I need to loose less. We will find out in the next couple of months. I love the outdoors. I like to hike, camp, walk in the park, walk in the surf at the ocean, swim or just do something outside. I love to read. I read the bible most days. I enjoy poetry very much. I really enjoy Pablo Neruda, 20 Love Poems and A Song of Despair. Did I mention I am romantic and believe in Chivalry? I enjoy various types of art. I live in Portland, Oregon. Some of the glass art that comes out of the Pacific Northwest is world-renowned and can be seen in local galleries and shops. Interesting items may even be found at the outdoor Saturday Market. I love music and it is an important part of my life. I enjoy live music and concerts. My taste in music is eclectic. If I had to choose just one type to listen to it would be classical. As I write this I am listening to acoustic guitar, Pachelbel: Canon in D Major. If a picture is worth a thousand words how much is this music worth with the pictures it brings to my mind? My favorite Tenor is Andrea Bocelli. I enjoy Strauss and would love to learn how to waltz someday. Some other types of music I enjoy are Dave Matthews, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Hootie & The Blowfish, Bruce Springsteen, 80's & 90's complition CD's, Norah Jones, John Denver, Hot Rize, Marc Anthony, The Mavericks, Martina McBride, Randy Travis, Al Green, Bluegrass gospel and other types with a Christian orientation. I love going to the movies although I have walked out on many. Some of the movies I have liked are, Angela's Ashes, Billy Elliot, Babet's Feast, The Hiding Place, Shindlers List, The Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, Rob Roy, Saving Privet Ryan, The Firm, The Matrix, Patch Adams, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. John Wilbye / Love Not MeLove not me for comely grace, For my pleasing eye or face;Nor for any outward part, No, nor for my constant heart; For those may fail or turn to ill, So thou and I shall sever. Keep therefore a true woman's eye, And love me still, but know not why;So hast thou the same reason still To doat upon me ever. This poem may be used for either genders view of the other. Most people have heard beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wonder in today's world how many people truly understand the perception of beauty beyond the eye. I have seen elderly couples holding hands and looking at each other with such love it is evident they still see the beauty in each other, beauty that may seem faded from a bystanders view. Much of what life is about, growing old with a soul mate and still finding that beauty in each other within the golden years, beauty that is not humanly possible to completely comprehend. A true gift from God.
