I love Jesus, yes I do! I love Jesus, how 'bout you? Did you know that God sings over us when we sing to Him? AND He dances over us, too, whenever we worship Him? Isn't that amazing??? To think that the Creator of the universe loves YOU so much thatwhen YOU sing to HIM, He sings right back! What a duet! Having that knowledge makes me a "wild worshipper" (got that term from our children's church - First Assembly of God - back in a midwestern state). "The reason I live is to worship You!" So now you know 2 things about me. . . I'm desperately in love with Jesus and I love to worship (singing and dancing with or before Him). . . by the way, He's an AWESOME leader in the dance! I also love to read, cook, take long walks, watch movies, listen to good music -- contemporary Christian; mellow jazz; what's now considered "golden oldies" (YIKES!) like the Beatles, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, you get the picture - stuff we grew up listening to; old country & western; big band; classical. I enjoy going to plays, musicals, concerts, museums, zoos. I'd love to explore the mountains around the area where I live, since I'm new to the area, but I wouldn't know where to start. . . and it's not as much fun by oneself. Just recently, I've become involved in the local Boxer rescue group (the dog breed, not the athlete nor the underwear). I've had 4 Boxers since 1981 & think they're the best dogs God created! I LOVE football!!! I had gone without cable for several years but finally caved in during the playoffs because I missed watching FOOTBALL too much!!! LOL Pro games in person are AWESOME!! So are baseball games! I enjoy walking the golf courses while my friend/partner/mate plays (I'm really lousy at the game). I was a pretty good downhill skier before the lack of cartilage in my knees forced me to quit; I still enjoy going to nordic centers to do some cross-country skiing. . . it's a wonderful way to enjoy God's creation - it's so peaceful & quiet & yet exhilarating at the same time. Baking is one of my favorite ways to relax; having someone to bake for is even better - right now, I have only the people with whom I work to pamper with my baked goods. . . I've been told my cinnamon rolls are better than those in bakeries! I love to laugh & make others laugh, too (although I sometimes think my jokes or wisecracks are pretty corny, but people still laugh & tell me I'm funny). . . and besides, that's good medicine, right? God moved me here to this area to be nearer my 2 youngest brothers (who are WAY younger than I) and their families, to the "mission field" of my family. I was blessed to lead 2 of my young nephews to the Lord last year before my dad died; now God has brought me here to live a Christian lifestyle for them to see that one can have fun & still be a believer (and that one doesn't have to "indulge oneself" to have fun). . . and to gently show them the way to salvation. I've learned from experience that one cannot force one's family; they have to see it in one's life. These brothers didn't grow up around me (my mom was Dad's first wife; their mom was his third & the love of his life); they saw me when I was much younger & living a "wild life"; now I want them to see how peaceful - how full of peace - living for Jesus is! I am a Spirit-filled woman who believes in the whole Word of God; who has an active prayer & Bible study life; who believes not in the power of prayer but in the power of the One Who answers those prayers. If someone voices a need, I'm a "stop, drop & pray" type of gal. Too many people say, "I'll be praying for you" and then forget; I believe it's much more of a blessing to the person requesting the prayer to actually HEAR (or read in an e-mail) that prayer. . . there's just something powerful about it (or maybe there's Someone powerful). I love it that the Psalmist said, "Because I know that You answer, I pray!" Well, this is long enough. If you want to know more, just holler. Blessings. . . Dances4Him
