"But God demonstrates His love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. " (Romans 5:8) Amen! And we're still sinners. Paul felt that the closer he drew to Him, the more aware he was of his failings. Do you feel like thattoo?
James wrote that "the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. " (James 3:17) Do you seek the world's wisdom, or His?
I am a work in progress. He has done a tremendous work in me over the past two years but I still have so far to go. A strong believer but adrift -- and married to a nonbeliever -- when we moved from New Jersey to Southern California at the beginning of 2001, I'm now firmly grounded, unmarried (her choice) and enjoying all of the many things He's doing in my life. And He is doing a lot!
My goal: to find a woman who genuinely puts Him first in her life, who believes The Bible is fully "God-breathed" and inerrant, and who tries to live it every day. And who is seeking the same in a man. Since I am recently divorced, I am in no hurry and would rather be alone than make another mistake. It is His will, His timing, not ours. Having said that, I remain ready and open for a committed relationship with a woman who has made that commitment to Him first and would also like to develop a godly relationship with a man striving for Psalm 112. Not always achieving it, mind you, but aiming for it. My ideal woman is born again, lives in Southern California, loves children (whether she has them or not) and will settle for nothing less than God's plan for her life.
I have a 4-year-old daughter whom I adore and whose custody I share. I'm financially stable, work as a portfolio manager managing other people's money, own my own home in Chino Hills, worship in Chino, work in Pasadena.
May He bless all of the sisters out there searching for happiness. True happiness comes from knowing Him. "Whoso trusts in The LORD, happy is he. " (Prov. 16:20)
