Although I have never been married, I have had what I believe were successful relationships with women. I have made mistakes and had some painful experiences, but I have learned and grown from them. Earlier in my life, I was reluctant to make a commitment because I thought my parents' marriage was less than ideal, and because I was too much of a perfectionist. But as I have grown as a Christian, I have learned more about families which are centered in Christ. Now I believe that marriages and families (and people) are never perfect, and love means fully accepting and being committed to others as they are. One writer said that a person's foibles make them lovable. I believe in romance, but love also involves choosing to forgive and remain committed to another person regardless of the circumstances. I believe marriage is for life, and sex is only for marriage. I love to have fun; I have a high level of energy, and I enjoy being around people. I enjoy reading, the arts, exercise (4 to 5 times per week), nice dinners and travel. I try to read the Bible and/or other Christian literature every day, and I enjoy reading fiction and the classics. I was part of a Christian drama group, and I still enjoying acting (as well as attending theatre. ) I have been involved in a jail ministry for the last ten years, and it is very rewarding. I am still open to having children if God brings that into my life.
