I am deeply committed to the Lord. I desire to be who God wants me to be and live a life that glorifies Him and fulfills the purpose He has for me. I believe that we should always practice the presence of God in our lives and seek to walk in the spirit. To be a born again Christian means that the fruit of the spirit should be evident in our lives as we grow to be more like Christ. My father, a minister, told me "You need to do what you need to do. " That simple quote has helped me many times along with the ten finger prayer from Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Another favorite scipture is Psalms 46:10: Be still and know that I am God--but I have so many more favorite verses because God's word is living and transforms and speaks to us in so many amazing ways!I was born in Iowa but have lived in many places. I like all kinds of adventures. I am not afraid to try new things. I have a Masters in Education. I am a Special Ed teacher to children with behavior and emotional disorders, so I guess I am usually patient and calm--I have to be. I have had several teachers and friends tell me that I bring a calmness to a room. Most people tell me that I am easy to talk to as well. I like praying, listening to worship music as well as other types of music, reading, cooking, walking, playing with my granddaughters and new puppy, traveling, decorating, hiking, riding my new bike, canoeing, walking on the beach, bargain shopping, watching movies, doing unusual things like going to a rodeo or cornbread festival :-), going to museums, art shows, concerts, and good times and laughter with friends and family. God is so good! No matter what happens in our lives, He is always good! What I do for the Lord is most important. I am a prayer warrior and I also mentor others--especially youth. I was divorced about 14 years ago. I can honestly say that with God's help I have no bitterness. I am very content. Sometimes that is the best time to give someone your love. I am ready to give my love to a man that God has chosen for me and I think I have a lot of love to give. I am blessed.
