Though Kabul, Texas does not exist, it is the best way to describe life at this time. I am a southern aviator who is spending a year as a humanitarian pilot in Africa & Afghanistan. Home for me is the Gulf Coast where I have family and friends from Biloxi to Houston. Unfortunatly, everyone I know was affected by Katrina. I watched the events unfold on CNN just after arrival in Africa, looking at video of the house I grew up in New Orleans under several feet of water and 9, 000mi away.
That said, I harbor no regrets towards my decision to leave America. It has been a rewarding experience and affected my outlook on the word though not as expected spiritually. When not looking over my shoulder for the Taliban, I enjoy running through the neighborhoods of Kabul and on every run am invited to tea, dinner or to play a local game. In America, my passions are triathlon, track & field, travel and the outdoors.
I am looking to get to know a woman of reasonably simlar interests and a passion for life. I return to America in late Summer.
